I went to get another covid test today. It was my 4th one. It's also the 4th month since this thing started, so that's my rhythm. The other day I was saying my refrain: "if this was the aids crisis you wouldn't be wringing your hands about getting tested. know your status!" and someone said "it still is the aids crisis". and they weren't wrong, and as the last post said, we're likely to be in this for a long long time too. we'll have all the crises before this one, and some new crises to pile on top that will seem more urgent, more dystopian, more important. it's still the affordable housing crisis. it's still the climate crisis. it's still a migrant crisis. capitalism is still in crisis. and we need to keep making the existence of the police a crisis they have to deal with. things are slowly changing and it feels right to note where we're at so we can look back and notice the difference. i'm visiting buildings now, with a...
